Janet Mwobobia started in the retail trade 15 years ago, and for the last eight years has owned and operated four gift shops in some of Chicago's favorite tourist destinations. Her love for the service industry continues to grow, and that passion extends to real estate--working as a team player with buyers and sellers to realize their dreams. She knows that a real-estate transaction is one of life's major experiences, and works to make that experience an efficient, pleasant, and memorable one.

She was born in Nairobi, Kenya, and raised in a traditional Kenyan family. Such a family usually has several children, but Janet is an only child. Therefore, she has always related closely with friends, business acquaintances, and her extended family. She has traveled widely and is fluent in Kiswahili and Turkish. Her extensive contacts with people from around the world has perfected her communication skills enormously.

Before her marriage, Janet lived for five years in Lincoln Park. Then, she and her husband lived for five years in a Hyde Park cooperative. They recently bought a new house in the Gap area of the South Side.

Chicago is her favorite United States city, and this enthusiasm easily transfers to her numerous clients. She would be pleased and honored to work with you.
